Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any other questions not covered here, please contact Aimeé directly - aimee@seacoastmothernurture.com

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY MASSAGE?

I always tell my clients to wear what they are comfortable in, however, undressing fully is best for me to not have to work around anything and is best for the flow of the session. You will always be professionally draped and secured so that you are covered except for the area being worked on. You can leave underwear bottoms on if needed. You will be given complete privacy while getting on the table. I will call out / knock before coming back into the room to make sure you are settled.

  • WHAT IS YOUR COVID POLICY

I am fully vaccinated against covid 19. I currently do not require my clients to wear a mask. I am not wearing masks at appointments as of March 2022. However, you may wear one if you’d like and I will honor any decision you make. I also have no problem wearing a mask if you’d like me to - just simply ask. I do kindly ask that you cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well so we can reschedule. Being massaged while sick is not enjoyable and will make you feel worse. Plus, I don’t want to get sick and spread it to my family! There is a COVID policy agreement and waiver in your intake form.

  • DO YOU ONLY WORK ON PREGNANT WOMEN?

I work on women from all walks of life and all ages. From teens to geriatric women, prenatal & postpartum and every woman in between. I specialize in pre and postnatal massage and I am extensively trained and certified in that expertise. I am a female only practice. There is no discrimination of any kind in my work.

  • WHAT IS PRE / POSTNATAL MASSAGE?

Pre and postnatal massage differs from a regular massage in the sense that different techniques are used. These techniques are specific to the many anatomical changes a woman undergoes during pregnancy and in no way will cause harm to the mother or baby. However, I do work on women from all walks of life, pregnant or not.

  • CAN I LIE FACEDOWN FOR A PRENATAL MASSAGE?

Yes! You can with my specially made pregnancy cushion that makes room but yet supports breasts and bellies. No more constant side lying massages unless that is what your prefer. My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible.

  • DO YOU HAVE TO AVOID CERTAIN AREAS WHEN MASSAGING A PREGNANT WOMAN?

Absolutely not! The only thing I will refrain from is deep leg and deep low back work. The other things you hear about like ankle work inducing labor are myths. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask! aimee@seacoastmothernurture.com

  • WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

I kindly ask that you cancel within 24 hours before your scheduled appointment so we can reschedule you. My time is valuable and I can’t always fill an empty appointment immediately which is a huge loss for me. There will be a 50% cancellation fee for any massage sessions not cancelled within the 24-hour time frame or if you are 15 mins late for your scheduled time you will be considered “no show” and will be required to pay the full amount of your session. Please respect my time as much as I respect yours. An emergency is always an exception.

  • DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Not at the moment. I hope in the near future that insurance companies become more open to offering massage as a benefit to our overall health and that the process of it becomes easier for us therapists! I do take HSA cards (Health Savings Account) through square.

  • WHAT KIND OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?

I accept Venmo, PayPal, all major credit cards, cash and HSA cards. I always appreciate prepayment.

  • DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?

I do! They make great gifts for the women in your life. You can now buy Gift Certificates online (printable and email-able) on the scheduling page under products. If you would prefer an in hand physical gift certificate, please contact me directly for purchase and I can meet you at the office for you to pick it up or I can mail it out to you.

  • WHAT DO YOU USE FOR OILS / CREAMS?

I use organic jojoba or coconut oil and Biotone Pure Touch organic cream. I also use a couple Natropathica products on hands and feet sometimes. All are safe for sensitive skin and pregnant moms. Please let me know if you have any allergies.

  • WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE LOCATED?

    UNTIL MARCH 29TH:

2 Greenleaf Woods Dr. Suite 202 Portsmouth, NH (Bldg #2 - Same office with Rhythms).

    APRIL 1ST AND BEYOND:
